Corrections
Corrections are the most useful mail this site gets, especially a size or an equivalent that does not match the cell in front of you. All 84 cells are generated from one dataset, so a correction to a record fixes every page that mentions it at once.
What makes a correction quick to act on:
- The page, and the code as it appears on it.
- What the page says, and what you believe it should say.
- Where your figure comes from: a measurement, the printing on the pack, a manufacturer's datasheet or cross-reference chart. A link or a photograph settles it fastest.
Reports that a cell did or did not work in a particular device are welcome too. They cannot go into the data as facts, but they are often the reason a record gets checked.
What this site cannot do
It cannot tell you whether a specific device will work with a specific cell beyond what the size, voltage and chemistry say: the device's manual is the authority on that. It does not sell batteries, and it cannot help with an order from anywhere that does.
If a button or coin cell has been swallowed, do not email: that is an emergency, and the safety guidance on the home page says what to do.
